Another lovely sunny morning, still berthed in San Francisco.
What was that quote talking about when they said “The coldest winter they had ever spent was one summer In San Francisco”?
Busy around the ship today, 1089 passengers leaving us, and looks like lots of changes of crew today as well.
Anyway we took a leisurely start to get ourselves ashore. Decided that today we would take the “F” line along The Embarcadero, it was a bit hard walking yesterday. The “F” line consists of a multicolour selection of historic trams running up and down.
Only $1.35 for each of us for a 3 hour ticket, as many trips as you like till time ran out, also transferable to the city buses trains etc (not the Cable Car). A pleasant ride along to Pier 39, then just up the road to the Safeway for essentials, fizzy drinks and crisps!
Back on the front spent some time being entertained by the sealions at Pier 39, from Pier 41, better view.
Time for some sustenance so off to Pier 39 for ice creams and hotdogs.
Then strolled back to the ship, with a short break in the terminal for some free WiFi time, and then out on our balcony for some sun before time for ships emergency drill, we all had to attend, time since last one in Southampton meant we needed a refresher just in case we had forgotten how to put on our life vests.
Fantastic sailaway just at dusk out under the Golden Gate and out into the Pacific on our way to Honolulu, Hawaii.
Dinner in the main restaurant and then time to get out of the way of those new passengers getting lost around the ship, all 1118 of them.
